Here at ‘RSVP to me’ we’ve had the opportunity of working with some OUTSTANDING couples!! As a way of “honoring” them and all their fabulous-ness, we’ve decided to start posting a monthly “Real Wedding Spotlight”. We’ll post pictures from their wedding and, of course, of their invitations and stationery!! AND we’ll give you lots of juicy details of how they met, their planning process, etc.
For our very first spotlight, we couldn’t have picked a more stunning couple – introducing Ashley & Brian!!! We first met Ashley and her fabulous Mom back in November of 2012. They had specific colors and a style in mind – and we worked together to create a beautiful invitation that would speak to her guests and be the perfect introduction to her “rustic”, but very elegant wedding style. We not only created wedding invitations for Ashley and Brian, but also the wedding day stationery AND bridal shower invitations for Ashley!

Here’s some of the juice details we were talking about…..Ashley and Brian met while working at P.J. Finnegan’s in Westwood, New Jersey. “It seems to be a magical place. Many love connections have sprouted from there,” shared Ashley. Appropriately enough, the proposal began there, where the couple’s parents were waiting outside to start the celebration and were whisked away to enjoy a romantic dinner at Le Bernardin in New York City.
Ashley and Brian were engaged for sixteen months, which gave them ample time to plan the wedding of their dreams. “We wanted our wedding to be unique and still classic, so we opted for a neutral color palate. To truly make it our own, we incorporated a ton of personal touches.”
When it came to designing their wedding invitations, Ashley and Brian chose a classic style to set the tone for their special day. “Kelly really helped bring our vision to life. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome,” exclaimed Ashley. In addition to custom wedding invitations, ‘RSVP to me’ designed the couple’s custom door hangers for those guests staying at the hotel, which were a huge hit!
We love when bride’s incorporate special details into their wedding day. Ashley included a little bit of each women in her family into her wedding day look. The sleeve from her mother’s wedding dress was wrapped around the stems of her white peony bridal bouquet, which was also accented with her great grandmother’s cameo. She wore earrings from her paternal grandmother that she turned into a modern drop version. Lastly, Ashley’s hairpiece was accented with loops of pearls from her maternal grandmother’s wedding crown.
After visiting the Liberty House Restaurant & Catering, Ashley and Brian knew this was the perfect location to host their ceremony and reception. The couple loved the breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline, delicious food, and accommodating staff. Additionally, Ashley and Brian never attended a wedding there so they felt like it was a unique facility to them.
Although the planning got overwhelming at times, Ashley kept the true meaning of the day in perspective, which was marrying the love of her life. She knew that no matter what, they were getting married and she tried to never lose sight of that.
After the wedding day came to a close, the newlyweds continued to celebrate their married status in Kauai, Hawaii.
Keep an eye out for our next ‘Real Wedding Spotlight’ couple!! We’ve got some TERRIFIC ones to share!!!
