Special occasions come in many forms: birthdays, anniversaries, engagements, new babies, graduations, and holidays. We love celebrating the special moments in our clients’ lives, and we love designing occasion invitations that are unique and memorable. In honor of our tenth anniversary we are counting down our top ten most memorable custom special occasion invitations.
All Paws on Deck for a Special Second Birthday
These second birthday invitations have fun with a Paw Patrol theme. Firetruck red is complimented by baby bird blue and sunshine yellow. We incorporated the birthday girl’s favorite Paw Patrol character into the design as we invited friends and family to PAW-ty along with us! The invitations were slipped into red envelopes with a signature notecard displaying the birthday girl’s name tied with a rustic ribbon. The end result is an invitation perfectly suited for a little girl’s special day.
Kate Spade Inspired Bridal Shower Invitation
This Kate Spade inspired, tri-fold invitation makes a bold, fun statement. Each of the three panels uses a different background pattern—bold black and white stripes, feminine black and white polka dots, and subtle green and gold glitter. With only touches of hot pink added to the design, these invitations are playful and modern. As a final touch, we used Kate Spade reminiscent fonts to communicate the party’s important details. Each tri-fold panel has its own unique look, but they tie together through the use of similar colors and text styles, creating a perfectly unique, and perfectly cohesive final design.
ZOINKS! These Scooby-Doo themed birthday invites are fun and playful. We chose a spooky font and teal accents that reminds us of the Mystery Machine. The purple, orange, and green colors perfectly compliment the brown and black Great Dane fur pattern that is so signature Scooby. We wrapped the envelope with a bright blue “dog collar” with the birthday boy’s monogram to ensure every guest knows exactly who’s being celebrated.
Classically Traditional First Communion Invitations
For this young man’s first communion we created classically traditional invitations using a metallic gray border, bold navy accents and simple, tasteful font styles. We created a signature monogram to serve as a memorable design element at the top of the invitation. Our favorite touch is the hint of navy blue ribbon laced through the top inside corner of the invitation card. We affixed a small rhinestone cross to emphasize just how special the event will be.
A Puzzling Invitation
We had so much fun with this dimensional invitation for a special young lady’s thirteenth birthday. The invitation card itself was mailed as separate puzzle pieces inside a vellum envelope fixed to a fuchsia and white horizontal striped card. Assembled, recipients were able to read a very special request to celebrate the thirteenth birthday of a special young lady. The back side of the plum-colored envelope included a baby photo of the birthday girl. We added a signature plum-colored design element around the photo to tie it to the detail on the puzzle card. Guests loved this fun, interactive invitation, and we accomplished our goal of creating something fun and unique for a once-in-a-lifetime party.
Polka Dot Party Girl
For this little one’s second birthday we created a fun, fresh, polka dot themed party invitation-in-a-box! We love how all of the vibrant colors create a look that is fun, bright, and cheerful. Smiling yellow, wild red, lovely violet, cool teal, and sunny orange dots make us think of a bouquet of brightly colored flowers. One side of the clear box displayed the fun crinkle-cut tissue with confetti like die-cuts and a huge number ‘2’!! The other side of the box displayed the invitation with all the who, what and where. The matching thank-you card included a photo of the birthday girl celebrating, creating a personal touch to the heart-felt thank you message. The whole look came together with a candy buffet and custom created cookie thank you favors. This colorful design was the perfect was to celebrate this bright and cheery little birthday girl!

A Surprise 40th Celebration
We love parties, but we really love surprise parties! We had so much fun creating these surprise fortieth birthday party invitations. The invitation card is designed on a rustic wood grain – yes, that’s right ACTUAL wood grain!. We choose a combination of a simple, traditional font and paired it with bold stamped letters and numbers. The most important element on the invitation card is of course, the number forty, ensuring everyone knows that a special celebration is taking place. Party guests were also gifted signature bottle koozies that were custom designed to match the invitation theme. Wrapped in clear plastic bags and tied with rustic bows, the whole look came together to produce a fun and fresh party theme.
A Sweet 16 That’s Pretty in Pink
These Sweet 16 birthday party initiations are feminine and sweet. We started with an ivory metallic invitation surrounded by a cameo pink border. We added the birthday girl’s name in bold font across the middle of the invitation and surrounded her name with swirling accents and elegant scripted fonts. The invitations were in bold, antique gold pocket fold envelopes that perfectly compliment the sweet pink cards on the inside. Our favorite touch is the ivory silk ribbon at the top of the invitation and its glittering rhinestone brooch. This look makes us think of pink taffeta party dresses, chocolate candies with sweet filings, and shimmering bows on top of birthday gifts wrapped in crisp pink paper.
Holy Birthday Batman!
This special young man wanted a Batman-themed birthday. We had so much fun using bat signal yellow and night sky black to create a comic-book inspired invitation-in-a-box. We created a signature batman iconic element that we added to the invitation and the favor cards. These invitations make us want to hum that signature batman theme song, grab our trusty sidekick, and run to the party!
There is so much that we love about these first communion invitations. The front panels on this invitation fold out to reveal a beautiful, elegant message. The silver metallic gate card is accented by a subtle, lavender diamond pattern. The lavender border matches the elegant scripted font chosen for the special young lady’s name. We added an additional, elegant and feminine touch with the ivory white silk ribbon and rhinestone cross brooch. The rest of the design is minimal, so what stands out is the message that an important young lady is celebrating her first communion.
