Kristen and James | Real Wedding

When Kristen and Jamie asked us to do their wedding invitations, wedding day stationery AND candy buffet for their special day, we were ecstatic! What a fun and charming couple…we knew right away that our soon-to-be newlyweds were full of elegance and shouted out sophistication! That, to us, is a great combination and recipe for greatness.

Kristen and Jamie chose neutral colors, coordinated ever so elegantly with gold glitter and a fun kaleidoscope pattern for the invitation – a perfect introduction to what would be an elegant and sophisticated fall wedding. The wedding day stationery followed suit and kept in perfect taste as they were so beautifully displayed for the guests. The table name cards displayed “wedding oriented” Hawaiian words with the English translation – a fun touch that was significant to Kristen and Jamie as a couple.

Next came the delicious part….the candy buffet!! From mouth-watering salt water taffy, to the delectable chocolate covered pretzels, this table left nothing to the imagination!  The custom tags matched the invitations and wedding day stationery, and the gorgeous “pop” of orange, pulled together a candy buffet with plenty to feed the child in everyone!

With all the decorations on the table complimenting the color scheme chosen by the happy couple, it turned out to be an eye-stopper in the celebration. As the water cooler is in the office, the buffet table turned into the “hang out” of the reception as guests couldn’t help but indulge in all it’s wonderfulness.

Kristen and Jamie’s stationery, candy buffet and overall decor set forward a perfect example of how simple elegance, sophistication and a flair for “fun” all comes together to help create one happy wedding day! We wish you both a life full of love, laughter and bliss, xo

Tableau de Ciel…

“Tableau du Ciel”….
What am I talking about?  Keep reading and you will find out!!

‘Sweet’ by RSVP-to-me has done it again!  We were given an event that was Paris themed and were told to simply create magic. Well…we think we created more than magic…we created a masterpiece.  So much so, that it was featured in 201 Family Magazine – March 2014 issue!

What did we put together for our edible version of Paris? Our table of sweet treats included yellow cake cupcakes with light pink frosting as the base to our delicate chocolate Eiffel Towers; white chocolate mousse drizzled with raspberry sauce and topped with fresh raspberries (to die for!); beautifully decorated and iced sugar cookies in the shape of Eiffel towers, as well as scalloped circles perfectly stacked with black satin ribbon embellishment.  The cake pops came in two flavors: yellow cake and red velvet – all neatly wrapped with a custom tag by RSVP to me that carried through motif of the day. Ice cream cone cupcakes, raspberry shortbread and a two-tiered plate of macaroons that did not last 5 minutes into the party completed this delectable dessert table!

The table decor included fabulous mercury silver candelabras, hydrangeas in French creamers, and gorgeous metal replicas of the Eiffel Tower. The table was backdropped by gorgeous white lacing curtains which hung beautifully behind two gorgeous antique frames that were custom painted to match the pink party, with the mirrors striped black to match the black Eiffel Towers.

I saved the best for last…the breath-taking 3-tier black and white cake. It was accented with 3 gorgeous bright pink flowers and black and white striped candles completed the base of the cake.  With another Eiffel Tower standing tall on the top, it framed out the cake, leaving the prize of the cake for all to see, “Baby Ruby” scrolled across the 2nd tier of the cake let everyone know just why they were all there.

This table was a personal favorite of mine and cannot wait to see what they come up for Ruby’s 1st birthday party!
Tableau du Ciel…what was I talking about?  “Table of Heaven”, never will there be a more perfect envision of edible heaven!

A HUGE thank you for all the treats to Hudson Valley Cakery of Valley Cottage, NY, Didier Dumas of Nyack, NY and Hudson Cakery of Weehawken, NJ.
