Save the {Wedding} Date

Your fairytale wedding is finally becoming a reality and you have that stunning engagement ring to prove it! After finally deciding that you and your one and only will be tying the knot, it’s only appropriate to officially share the good news to loved ones by sending a creatively designed “Save the Date”. Although not an essential piece of stationery, Save the Dates are a great way to ask guests to mark their calendars ahead of time and provide plenty of time for guests to take time off of work (especially if you’re planning a long wedding weekend or destination wedding). This informal piece of mail will be the very first impression guests will have of your upcoming nuptials so have fun with the design and set the tone for your wedding that fits your style.
Classic black and white save the dates designed by RSVP to me
Traditionally, your Save the Dates contain your names, wedding date, city and state where the wedding will take place, with the phrase “formal invitation to follow” or something similar.
Beach themed save the date with hotel accommodation card insert
This is also a piece of stationery where you can share your wedding website for guests to get additional information about your wedding such as hotel accommodations or travel details for destination weddings.  Or you can simply include an insert/extra card with such information.
Calendar-style save the date “twist” card
Whether you’re a traditional or modern bride (and groom), there is a save the date style for every type of couple! Wedding Invitation Wording Etiquette: Part Three

Happy Monday! Over the last few weeks we’ve shared our expertise on wedding invitation and response card card wording. Today, we’re talking about reception cards. If you haven’t guessed it already, the reception enclosure card informs your guests where the party is going to take place, as well as time of events (i.e. cocktail hour and dinner). This is an important piece of your enclosure cards, especially if the ceremony will be held at another location. Have a little fun and put a twist on the traditional by playing with fonts, motifs, and various wording options.
